The Committee for the Study of Late Antiquity invites Princeton faculty members whose research focuses on the Late Antique period to apply for a fellowship.
The fellowship is intended to support a wide range of opportunities, fieldwork and research relating to Late Antiquity.
The committee urges all applicants to investigate other sources of support, including the University Committee on Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and other University funds. We do not normally sponsor projects that can be supported by such fellowships or by Federal or other grants. Every effort is made to make our funds go as far as possible, hence, support is limited to the least expensive airfare, tuitions costs (if applicable), and a modest contribution (at the standard University per diem rate) to cover the cost of living and traveling abroad. The Committee does not normally make more than two awards to the same individual within any four-year period.
Faculty members may apply through a memo to the Committee explaining the nature of the project, length of visit, alternative sources of support, expected results, and estimated cost.
Application deadline: May 15, 2018.
