Peter R. Brown Prize 2018

Peter Brown, the Philip and Beulah Rollins Professor of History, Emeritus, was present to award his namesake prize, which is given annually to the best graduate student essay on any subject relating to the study of Late Antiquity. This is the first time the prize has been awarded to two students, Alyssa Cady (Religion) and Merle Eisenberg (History)Cady wrote on "If Not with Deeds, Then with Words: Immortality and Speech in the Works of Prudentius" and Eisenberg wrote on "A New Name for a New State: The Construction of the Burgundian Regio."
